Ingredients: Yellow and green split peas, onions, parsley, thyme, basil, chili powder, garlic, mustard, herbs and spices. No MSG.
Directions for small (4-5 servings)
In a large pot, add contents of package to 6 cups of water. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to medium. Cover and cook for 2 hours or until peas are tender, stirring occasionally. Let stand 10-12 minutes before serving.
Directions for large (8-10 servings)
As above but use 12 cups of water.
Optional: Add diced ham and potatoes half hour before cooking is finished.
